I thought that the instructions or the steps were really clear, and it was very easy to understand. So, I thought that that was really good for just a regular person who’s never experienced this stuff before to just be able to go through it. And I thought it was very well organized with how much information there was, so I thought it was really interesting.

I mean it really sucks that something like this wasn’t back in early 2000 because it really would’ve helped me. I think a lot of people wouldn’t go through that depression stage if they just would’ve had this type of information to help them because we pretty much had to Google in WebMD and go through trial after trial after trial just to get where we are today. So having something like this is a great help and I definitely would recommend.

Just the fact that all of this is in one place I think would’ve felt like hope to me as a patient. [The tool] sheds light on your situation a little bit differently in a way that makes me feel not so hopeless. If this doesn’t work, look at all these other things that are available to me.

As a Latina living with Crohn’s disease, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to make treatment decisions, especially when language and our culture affect how we handle our care. In Hispanic/Latino cultures, health decisions are often made with family support, and it’s important to have resources that help us make informed choices together.
